Segerstrom 49
Santiago 29 Final Score

In a game where both offenses came to play, the Jaguars (2-2) outlasted Santiago, ranked 4th in CIF Friday night 49-29. The Jaguars scored on the first five possessions of the first half to take the lead and never looked back. An outstanding effort put on by the Jaguars’ offensive line helped pace Matt Navarro, Justin Mills, and Frankie Partida on the ground. Quarterback Brian Murrietta threw a touchdown pass to Aaron Amrine and ran for two more.
Defensively, the Jaguars showed poise and made the right adjustments to eventually stymie the Cavaliers. Ricardo Cachua put pressure on Santiago’s quarterback all night recording three sacks. Other defensive standouts include Flavio Hernandez who finished with two interceptions and Robert Nunez who led the team in tackles. The Jaguars look to build on this momentum next week, when the Jaguars host Calvary Chapel.
