Dear Coach Maceranka,
On behalf of the NFL, Rob Fukuzaki and the ABC7 Sports Department, I am very happy to be able to announce that you have been selected as an ABC7 / NFL High School Coach of the Week for Southern California for the 2008 season. We would like to honor you on our Sports Zone show on Saturday October 4, 2008.
This award is presented to one coach each week throughout the season, and honors those coaches who not only stand out because of their coaching on the field, but also for their efforts on behalf of the students, the school and the community, and is based on nomination letters submitted by ABC7 viewers, and your supporters.
For being honored as the NFL High School Football Coach of the Week, your school will receive a $1,000 grant for the football program from the NFL Youth Football Fund (YFF), as well as a certificate from ABC7 and the NFL. You also will be eligible for the ABC7 / NFL High School Football Coach of the Year Award
to be announced in December.
