On September 11, 2008, the Segerstrom Jaguar freshmen team played in their home opener versus Century High School. It did not take the Jaguars long to score as Steven Hernandez took the opening kick off and ran 70 yards for the game’s first touchdown. Alfredo Contreras kicked the extra point to put the Jaguars up by seven. After the ensuing kick-off, the Century Centurions lost the football on a fumble by the fullback. The Jaguars took over at the 33 yard line and scored on their first offensive play when halfback Robert Sevilla took the ball and ran for a touchdown. With the extra point, the Jaguars led by fourteen with only about one minute off the clock. The Centurions did put together a small drive only to be forced to punt by the Jaguar defense. The punter was rushed into making a bad punt in which linebacker Jonathan Valle picked up the ball and ran 50 yards for another Jaguar touchdown. With a good extra point, the Jaguars were up 21 to nothing over the Centurion of Century. The next score would come from a pass from quarterback Aaron Morales to Vincent Aranda for a 25 yard touchdown and with the extra point, the Jaguars led 28 to nothing going into the half. In the second half, the scoring continued with a 15 yard touchdown run by Gabriel Roa to make it 34 to nothing, followed by another touchdown from Dean Ortega to make the final score 40 to nothing in favor of the Jaguars.
