Laguna Hills 28 Final Score
The Jaguars (1-2) came out hitting in a disappointing loss to Laguna Hills on Friday night 28-17. Playing on the road against the number one team in the division was a tall order, but the Jaguars did not back down. The two teams’ defenses matched each other early recording ‘three and outs” in the first five possessions. Laguna Hills struck first with one of several big plays as their quarterback scrambled for the first touchdown. Other big plays paced Laguna Hills the rest of the night.
The Jaguars offensive execution came alive as Brian Murrietta connected with Nick Calhoun for two touchdown passes. Great pass protection by the offensive line and run fakes by the running backs allowed Murrietta to stand in the pocket. Johnny Miranda got his name in the record books by kicking a 35 yard field goal. The Jaguars look to rebound against Santiago next week.
