Jaguars lose their season opener 17-12CLICK HERE to view all the pictures! The Jaguars opened up their 2008 football season with a hard fought battle at Tehachapi ending in a 17 – 12 loss. Playing their first week zero game in school history, the Jaguars struggled early. The Tehachapi Warriors, defending Central Division CIF champions, took advantage of early miscues to score 17 unanswered points. After several adjustments, the Jaguars defense shut out the Warriors in the second half.
The offense came to life with the help of the Jaguars’ special teams in the third quarter. Solid coverage by the punt team and a great punt return established good field position. Brian Murrietta and Frankie Partida both added rushing touchdowns for the Jaguars.
